West Dean Gardens complete with Walled Kitchen Gardens, 300ft Edwardian Pergola and Victorian Glasshouses filled with chillies, orchids and grapevines.

West Dean Gardens is one of the greatest restored gardens open to the public in England. Creatively inspired by its rich heritage, there are Walled Kitchen Gardens, 13 Victorian glasshouses and extensive, richly planted grounds including a stunning 300ft Edwardian Pergola covered in roses and clematis. Follow the river to the Spring Garden or take the 2 mile parkland walk to the 50 acre St Roche’s arboretum.

Wander through the spectacular 300ft long Edwardian pergola covered in roses and clematis and admire the award-winning Sunken Garden. Follow the river to the Spring Garden or take a walk in the arboretum. In the Walled Garden you’ll find immaculate rows of vegetables and fruit trees, a cut-flower garden and Victorian Glasshouses brimming with chillies, orchids and grapevines.
