Arundel Youth Theatre

Arundel Youth Theatre runs fun and nurturing classes for children aged 4-16 years. Sessions focus on drama with opportunities for choreography, singing and playwriting.

We have performances at the end of summer and winter terms and have taken part in in festivals performing musicals, Shakespeare and street theatre. We were invited to perform 'wind in the willows' at the wetland centre for their special event days.

There is a lot of emphasis on teamwork and all members of the youth theatre are encouraged and supported to play an equal part in the company regardless of ability.

Visit their website for class times.

"A play is so called because that is what we do when we dress up and pretend to be someone else. As children, we have a natural ability to play using imagination. Acting ensures we never lose it"

Arundel Children's Theatre (ACT) is a division of AYT specifically designed for younger performers.

Rebecca O'Callaghan has been director of AYT for 5 years and teaches classes for all age groups. Trained at the Mountview academy for performing arts, she has a BA hons in acting and musical theatre, a LAMDA gold and a BADC cert for armed and unarmed stage combat. With extensive teaching and performing experience in stage and radio in London and Melbourne, Rebecca started off in the National Youth Music Theatre and understands first hand the joy and benefits that being involved in theatre from a young age can bring.
